The Hitman’s Bodyguard lives up to it’s trailer’s teaser and then some. The laughter and action sequences bookend this movie from start to finish. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson are like the modern version of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover from Lethal Weapon if their roles are reversed. The chemistry between both leads worked so well that it made the movie immensely watchable. The body count during the carnage action sequences in this movie is comparable to John Wick 2. Shot entirely in various European cities, this movie has that international espionage feel to it but not as high brow as the James Bond flicks. Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek definitely bring on the funnies to their scenes. For once, Ryan Reynolds play the straight guy and let Sam and Salma be the funny ones in the movie. I highly recommend this movie if you want to go and get entertained by a comedy disguised as fast pace action flick. The other new release, Logan Lucky, look like a slow paced droll drama comparing to this kinetic laugh-a-minute action flick.
