Fahrenheit 11/9 – another outstanding documentary by Michael Moore

You’d be wrong if you think this documentary is solely about Trump and what he had done to this country. We don’t need to be reminded of that because you can flip on any tv channels, or read in the media daily about Trump’s shenanigans. What this documentary does is analyzes how our political system get to the current state. Michael Moore leave no stone unturned in his quest to peel back the layers of the corruption in our political system and showed how it’s citizen’s complacency in regards to the corrupt political system and the rigged political parties from both sides that led to where we are right now, political-wise. There are many eye opening revelations in this documentary that many people were not aware of. The most stand out one, the one that caused audiences in the cinema gasp was the scene where Obama openly sold out the African American community of Flint Michigan over the lead water poisoning crisis.
The African American community thought Obama went to Flint, Michigan to declare a state of emergency and called up FEMA or brought in scientists to deal with the toxic lead laden tap water in Flint. But instead of that, he came to support Governor Rick Snyder and declared the water was safe to drink by putting up a stunt at the press conference where he barely sip the water from the glass that was purportedly to be the fresh Flint tap water. Disgraceful indeed.
I highly recommend this documentary because this is the kind of top notch documentary only Michael Moore can make. And maybe, just maybe, by watching this documentary, you will get out of your comfort zone and be proactive in trying to change the broken political system we are currently experiencing.
