Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw: Manufactured Hollywood escapism

I know going in that this is a by-the-number formulaic movie created as fan-service escapism filled with big action scenes and semi-witty banters between Hobbs and Shaw characters. What I did not know was the funny cameo of famous stars showing up in this movie. Those cameo scenes are the funniest scenes in the movie. I won’t spoil it for you by devolving who showed up in this movie and ruin the viewing experience for you.  This movie’s supposedly-funny sarcastic banters between the two leads mostly fell flat because they looked too staged. There are two amazing action scenes in this movie, both had been showed prominently in the subsequent trailers. They are the London chase scene and the final hot rods VS Black Hawk chopper scenes. Other than that, the entire movie are mostly fillers with action scenes that look you’ve seen them in other movies before. Case in point: the vertical escape run along the glass windows outside a high rise building, the POV inside a flipping car scene. I got quite bored during the supposed-family bonding scenes, waiting for the big action sequence to start up again. Overall, this movie is rather enjoyable but you will quickly forget all about it once you left the cinema.
P.S.: there is a whopping three end credit extras on top of the extra scene that’s running concurrently during the end credit roll.
