This movie is full of squirm-inducing moments that only very little children will find funny. For us adults, not so much. I don’t know why Robert Downey choose to act subdued and speak in whispers. The clothes that he wore also make him look like a discount version of Johnny Depp’s mad hatter. It’s not a good character decision. Robert Downey Jr could easily liven up the movie with his whip smart and quick-witted sensibilities. This is essentially a road movie but the journey is a chaotic one. I wish someone in the film maker’s team is in touch with the contemporary audiences’ taste and act as the voice of reason whenever the story veered towards mediocrity. There are many adorable animal characters here, yet I can not connect to any one of them because the animals are not quite endearing.
